Storm Goretti Tree Appeal

Storm Goretti has caused significant damage to trees across Guernsey, impacting habitats, landscapes and the long-term resilience of our natural environment. The aim of the Storm Goretti Tree Appeal is to gather sufficient funds to repair this damage through restoration, replanting and ongoing care, helping to ensure our island’s trees can recover and thrive for generations to come.

Project Information

The Storm Goretti Tree Appeal has been created to support repair of the damage to local trees as a result of the recent storm. The aim is to assess impacted public amenity spaces and determine how damaged/ lost trees can be remedied, ensuring that the right tree is used in the right place.

Further information regarding the approach, including timelines and practical explanations, as well as monitoring and measuring success, will be made available in due course. In the mean time, find out more here: Storm Goretti - Guernsey Trees For Life

Funding needed

Replacing trees lost comes with real costs, from buying and planting new trees to the essential aftercare needed to help them survive and reach maturity.

There is no fixed funding target—every pound donated goes towards replacing more trees, so the more support we receive, the more we can restore. Every contribution makes a difference.
